Barça once again conquered Paris on Ballon d'Or night, scooping three of the biggest prizes... Aitana Bonmatí (Ballon d'Or), Lamine Yamal (Kopa Trophy) and Barça Women (Best Women's Team). And it means a number of records too...
Club with most Ballons d’Or
Aitana Bonmatí's second win takes the total up to sixteen for the club, more than anyone else. Alexia (2021 & 2022) and Aitana (2023 & 2024) have four women's titles, and there have been 12 wins for the men's team, a record shared with Real Madrid.
Third four-in-a-row
Barça Women have equalled the all-time record for four Ballon d'Or wins in a row (men's or women's awards). The first time it happened was from 1982 to 1985, when Paolo Rossi's win was followed by three for Michel Platini, both of whom played for Juventus.
And then from 2009 to 2012 the same man won the prize four times in a row, and that was of course Leo Messi.
Blaugrana all the way
The women's Ballon d'Or podium was 100% culer. Aitana Bonmatí, Caroline Graham Hansen and Salma Paralluelo finished first, second and third. The only other time a team has swept the top three places was in 2010, and it was Barça that time too, with Messi, Iniesta and Xavi eclipsing all opposition.
Golden youth
Lamine Yamal picked up the Kopa Trophy for the world's best player under 21 years of age, and also became the youngest ever winner, being just 17. He follows on from Pedri (2021) and Gavi (2022), meaning that of the six awards handed out to date, exactly half have gone to FC Barcelona youngsters.
