The home side started brightly, but they soon broke down and by the quarter hour mark, Barça were already six goals to the good. With Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas imperial in goal, making 12 saves in the first half, the Catalans' lead was already into double figures by the interval.

The second half was purely academic, and Barça did a fine job of not only protecting but also extending their lead.
