The FC Barcelona first team took part in their final session of the week on Wednesday with Hansi Flick's squad taking part in a joint workout with the Barça Atlètic players at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Absent were the eight players currently on international duty with their respective national sides: Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Cubarsí, Marc Casadó, Pablo Torre, Lewandowski, Raphinha and Kounde.
A special visit
Wednesday's session saw a VIP guest drop by. Andrés Iniesta, who on Tuesday announced his retirement from professional football, passed by the Ciutat Esportiva to greet the squad and watch them in action.
Alongside the legendary Barça midfielder during the even on Tuesday for the announcement were president Joan Laporta, current coach Hansi Flick, first team player Ronald Araujo, Gavi, Ansu Fati and Dani Olmo as well as Deco, Bojan Krkic and adviser Enric Masip.
