Hansi Flick happy with three wins but 'job far from done'

The German coach highlights Barça's excellent second half in the win over Rayo and debutant Dani Olmo's goal

Three wins out of three for Barça and they now top the table in La Liga. Victory over Rayo Vallecano away from home came thanks to an excellent second half performance from Hansi Flick's team with the winner coming from debutant Dani Olmo. The German coach appeared before the press after the game in Vallecas to evaluate his team's 100% record so far this season in La Liga and the impressive win in a tricky away fixture.

"I told them that at 80% you cannot win here," said Flick referring to his half time team talk with the blaugranes 1-0 down after Unai López's early strike for Rayo.

After the break the blaugranes came out a changed side. "We controlled the ball really well," said the German coach of his side's performance in the second half.

Three well earned points

Goals from Pedri and new boy Dani Olmo turned things around for Barça in the second 45 minutes. "Olmo was really good, way we were hoping for. He helped us to do what we planned and we started to combine more and play more football. The three points were deserved," Flick added.

Happy with the win, the Barça boss admitted there is still a long way to go. "We will look at the game thinking about Saturday's game. We have 9 points from 9 but the job is not done. We have to improve on today's first half performance," said the coach before referring to the negatives from the game such as Marc Bernal's injury: "We are sad he is injured and we will have to look at it tomorrow. The win is great but the dressing room is a little down.!
