Fits, a goalscorer for the squad

The Barça futsal squad for 2024/25 has the piece of the jigsaw that it was missing: Fits. The Brazilian striker is a top quality addition along with new coach Tino Pérez and fellow new arrivals Eric Martel and Khalid. 

The 32 year old Brazilian from São Paulo arrives on a free transfer and signs a three year deal after recent seasons with Anderlecht and Movistar Inter. 

Fits came to Europe in 2016 to play in Italy before moving to Portugal and Benfica in 2018. In 2022 a short spell with Manzanares was followed by a move to Anderlecht with the Belgians knocking Barça out of the Champions League in the 2022/23 season. In the winter of that campaign the Brazilian made the move to Spain and Movistar Inter.

“After many years finally the chance that I have always wanted comes my way. I have been getting ready for this moment for a long time and I promise goals and commitment to win as many trophies as possible - I know winning is all that counts and that's is why I am here," said Fits after joining the blaugranes."

Monday preseason 

Coach Tino Pérez and squad will start preseason on Monday 26 August with just five players available given that the World Championships are set to take place in September with ten of Barça's squad involved for their respective nations. The whole squad will not be back together until the beginning of October to prepare for the first league game of the season which comes on 12 October against ElPozo.
