BALTIMORE, Maryland — Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is returning to Barcelona, satisfied with his team's play during the United States tour. In a postgame press conference following Barça's third and final tour game against AC Milan, the German manager said he was pleased with the squad's performance throughout the tour, including this final clash against the Italians that ended 2-2 after 90 minutes, despite FC Barcelona going down two goals to none in the opening quarter hour.
"We played a great second half," Flick said more than once during the press conference. He also pointed out the two goals scored by Robert Lewandowski. "He deserved both of those goals because he worked very hard for them."
The manager also heaped praise on the full array of young players that participated in the game against AC Milan. "We have 16-year-old players who performed exceptionally well," he said. "There are players who have really gotten a lot better over the last several days."
