CUPRA and FC Barcelona have continued to forge their global partnership to inspire the world from Barcelona with a shared vision of the future. During a visit to the football club's new commercial offices and the work to redevelop Spotify Camp Nou, in which the car brand will play a key role, Wayne Griffiths, CEO of CUPRA, and Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona, ​​​​​reaffirmed their mutual commitment to future generations by showcasing their shared projects that connect the worlds of sport and automobiles.

Griffiths delivered one of the first CUPRA Tavascans to Laporta. This is CUPRA's first 100% electric coupé SUV, and it will be the club's official car, symbolising the brand's commitment to electric mobility and underlining its role as an official automobile and mobility partner.

"At CUPRA, we are delighted to strengthen our ties with FC Barcelona, ​​​​the biggest club in the world" said Griffiths. "Our collaboration is not just a partnership; it's about a shared vision of the future to inspire the world from Barcelona. By delivering the CUPRA Tavascan to president Laporta and becoming involved with the Espai Barça project, we are reinforcing our commitment to the next generation of athletes and car lovers."

Laporta and Griffiths then visited the Spotify Camp Nou construction site, where CUPRA, as a key partner, will benefit from exposure on match days, including dedicated seats and a VIP box to enjoy the very best of football. The brand will be installing electric chargers and its logo will be on display in the car park of the club's commercial offices.

"Espai Barça is a key project for the club and that is why we are working with leading companies to make our home better and to make sure that the new Spotify Camp Nou becomes a global benchmark" explained Laporta. "CUPRA, by contributing electric chargers to our facilities, is demonstrating its commitment to the future of mobility. We look forward to many more years of shared success and innovation, and we are very happy with the expansion of our partnership."

This meeting exemplifies the consolidation of the global partnership between CUPRA and FC Barcelona, which was ​​recently renewed until 2029. CUPRA will continue to be the club's Official Automotive and Mobility Partner and Official Car for the next five seasons. In addition to maintaining its relationship with the men's and women's football teams, CUPRA has also become the official partner of FC Barcelona's basketball, futsal, handball, and roller hockey teams until June 2029. The association just gets stronger and stronger, driven by shared values ​​and a joint commitment to achieving a global impact.
