Women to play two friendlies against Hoffenheim and Montpellier

Pere Romeu will be coaching his first game in Germany on August 10 and his second back in Barcelona behind closed doors on the 17th

The first two women's football friendlies of the preseason have been announced. Pere Romeu will be coaching the team for the first time on August 10 at 12.30pm CEST against Hoffenheim, who finished fifth in the last Frauen-Bundesliga. The venue will be the Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion, which is used by the club's women and reserve teams.

They will be playing their second match on pitch 7 at the Ciutat Esportiva, against Montpellier. That game on August 17 at 7pm CEST will be played behind closed doors. The French side finished sixth in the last season's Division 1.

Training starts for the team on August 1. On the first day back at work the players will undergo routine medicals and fitness tests, and later in the day they'll take to the field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. That will be nine days before the defending European champions go into their first preseason friendly in Germany.
