First official penya in Nepal

The FC Barcelona board of directors has officially recognised the Penya Barça de Everest, the club's first ever official supporters club in Nepal.

But although it has only now been granted official endorsement, the blaugrana community in Nepal has been following the team and organising different activities in the countries for quite some time.

The Penya Barça de Everest actually dates back a full decade to 2014, and has done impressive charity work since its foundation, especially in support of orphaned children in the area, including the organisation of games for the boys and girls and even dental camps to make sure the little ones are looking after their teeth properly. They have also arranged clothes collections for people in need and in 2015 went to huge efforts to assist the victims of the earthquake that shook the country. And there have been many other activities besides.

As well as charity work, the Penya Barça de Everest also holds futsal competitions and different events around the year to motivate its members.
