Liga Endesa semi-final playoff spot wrapped up, as FC Barcelona have defeated Lenovo Tenerife (92-97), making it 2-0 for the series. The game itself was very close, but Satoransky led both the play and the scoring (24 points) to help the blaugranes to victory.
Barça and Real Madrid are set to play the first playoff game at the WiZink Center (8.30pm CEST) on May 2. The first game at the Palau Blaugrana is in the first weekend on June.
Good start for Barça, but Tenerife come back
Best posible start for Roger Grimau's side with a three from Parra. That first basket wasn't a true reflection of how dominant the blaugranes were in the first quarter, but all the same, the Canary Islanders came back to within one by the end (21-22).
The home side really turned it around in the second quarter, Fitipaldo and Salin proving key to fire their side to a +7 lead (39-32) after 16 minutes. Barça didn't give in though, and slowed Txus Vidorreta's sides' rhythm to go in only one basket behind at the break (46-44, min. 20).
Satoransky guides Barça through
The second half was very close throughout as both sides exchanged control until the score was 61-63 after 26 minutes, when Barça struck out to even go five points ahead at one stage. By the end of the quarter, the lead had almost been redressed with the final ten minutes to go (71-72).
Lenovo Tenerife took control in the fourth, remaining a couple of points ahead for most of the quarter, even going +5 by the 37th minute (89-84). However, Satoransky was having an impeccable game and came up with the goods at the end, scoring a three and a basket in the final minute to see the blaugranes through to a 92-97 win and a semi-finals playoff spot.
