Saturday at 6pm CEST brings Barça's fifth UEFA Women’s Champions League Final, and the third against Lyon Féminines. FC Barcelona members, supporters clubs and fans are preparing either for a trip to San Mamés or otherwise to watch the game from TVs all around the world this weekend.
According to UEFA, around 40.000 people are attending the match with tickets as Barça fans. In addition to that, FC Barcelona is organising coach travel but many others will be making their own way to Bilbao, where the club in association with UEFA has set up a Fan Meeting Point and a whole range of different activities for fans that are sure to all help to make this day one that they will never forget.
It's time to ‘Move the World' and keep rewriting the history books for women's football.
10am to 4.30pm: Barça Fan Meeting Point, Doña Casilda Park
Doña Casilda Park, known as the 'lungs of Bilbao’ due to being the only large, green area in the city, is the site of the Barça Fan Meeting Point, organised by the UWCL and complemented with a host of activities provided by FC Barcelona.
Just 15 minutes walk from San Mamés, it's the perfect place to get in the mood for the game. From 10am, there will be DJs providing music and a number of blaugrana activities and performances await as they day progresses.
Games, interactive spaces, competitions, live shows and very special surprises will be flowing thick and fast through to 4.30pm, with the club's own announcers at hand to present all the different happenings and even have a chat with supporters.
In association with UEFA and Bilbao City Council, there will also be catering, hydration and service points to cater for different needs.
From 6pm to 7.45 pm, Watch Party at Barça Fan Meeting Point
A lot of fans are travelling to Bilbao just to be there even though they don't even have tickets for the match. But the next best thing is to watch the game on the giant screen at the Fan Meeting Point. All kinds of events will be shown on the screen during the day, and from 6pm we'll be showing the game itself.
Fan distribution in San Mamés
FC Barcelona supporters will be sat in the North Zone of the stadium as per the following map.
Hundreds travelling by coach
More than 1,300 fans are filling the 22 coaches that FC Barcelona is sending north from C/Martí i Franquès and C/Menéndez Pelayo in Barcelona, close to Spotify Camp Nou. They depart from 12.45am to 1.15am the night before and will be arriving in Bilbao at the coach parks at Anselmo Clavé, Abandoibarra and Muelle Ramon de la Sota some time around 8.30am to 9am on Saturday. It's a long journey, but there are some great surprises being prepared while on board the coaches, so prepare yourself!
The return journey from Bilbao departs from the same place at 10.30pm after the game. The coaches will head back to the same place in Barcelona and should arrive some time around 7am Sunday morning.
