Barça Studios begins production of video podcasts featuring president Joan Laporta
Barça Studios is moving into the world of video podcasts, a form of audiovisual narrative that is widely available on streaming platforms nowadays and which offers major capacity for connection with audiences and going viral elsewhere.
The club is making its debut in this format this Saturday with the release of two new products. One is President Joan Laporta's Videopodcast (available in Catalan version) in which the club senior representative will be regularly analysing a variety of Barça-related sporting, institutional and social topics together with the journalists Míriam Nadal and Llorenç Tarrés. The idea is for this product to become a go-to communication channel for club members and fans, where they can enjoy listening to relaxed, informal conversations about matters of interest to supporters.
This Saturday also brings the launch of Barra Lliure (Free Bar) (available in Catalan version) a weekly video podcast showcasing the club's inimitable sporting legacy hosted by the journalist Robert Van Eeckhout, with Pol Martínez, Marc Brau, Llorenç Tarrés and Albert Cid as guests. It will feature discussions of iconic matches from days gone by, sporting legends, coaches who have left their mark on the team, along with Top 10 rankings, battles between line-ups and all kinds of other fun and games that should spark impassioned debate around the moments that have made Barça the greatest multi-sport club in the world.

These video podcasts will be available on the FC Barcelona Spotify hub, where users will also find other content such as the Matchday Playlists of the favourite songs picked by blaugrana stars (Lewandowski, Pedri, Raphinha, Alexia, Bronze, Rolfö, and more) as well as other playlists and content linked to the Barça Museum.
These new audiovisual productions will soon also be available on Barça One, the new free, global OTT offering the finest selection of Barça-themed content on the market.

As well as these two premieres, Barça Studios has a fabulous production plan for further video podcasts that will be released over the coming months. Work is being done right now on the creation of content linked not just to the club's current sporting events, but also to its history, the FC Barcelona Foundation and much more.
