Eight years after Leo Messi scored the 10,000th competitive goal in Barça history, Frenkie de Jong has added his name to the list of honours by netting the team's 11,000th goal, the one that made it 3-0 against Getafe this Saturday at the Estadi Olimpic.
The first ever goal for Barça in an official match was scored by George Gervan against the defunct Hispania Athletic Club in the Copa Macaya, the first ever football tournament played in Spain.
Josep Samitier claimed goal 1,000 against Europa, and after him the different milestone goals have been the work of Josep Escolà, Marcos Aurelio, Eulogio Martínez, Carles Reixach, Periko Alonso, Eusebio Sacristán, Marc Overmars and Messi, who got both goal 9,000 and goal 10,000.
