Sandra Paños to leave Barça at the end of the season

A legend is what Sandra Paños has become at FC Barcelona. Eighth on the all time lost of appearance with 270, the goalkeeper will say goodbye to the Club at the end of the current season. On Friday Paños announced via her social media her decision to "take on new professional challenges at the end of the current season," giving the shot stopper time to enjoy her final few months with the fans at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. 

Record stats 

Going over her career as a blaugrana, we can see that up to now Paños has conceded just 137 goals in 270 games as Barça keeper, including 166 clean sheets. No other goalkeeper has won so many trophies for the women's team and as well as being in the top 10 for appearances, her 59 matches in the Champions League mean that only Marta Torrejón and Alexia Putellas have played more games in the competition for Barça Women.

20 trophies 

After winning the Spanish Super Cup a few weeks ago, Paños now has 20 trophies to her name as a Barça player with only Melanie Serrano, Alexia Putellas, Vicky Losada, Marta Torrejón and Mariona Caldentey having won more. This season she has the chance to add another three to that list before bidding farewell.
