Barça 102-94 Zunder Palencia: Hard win

Some win at the Palau Blaugrana. After losing in the EuroLeague, Barça found it hard going to eventually get the better of Zunder Palencia (102-94) in a game that they may have led throughout, but that still went down to the wire in the final period. Jabari Parker led the scoring with 18 points.

The game was tight until a Satoransky slam-dunk seemed to inspire the Catalans, for they suddenly stormed to +13, principally on the back of threes from Jabari Parker. Barça would go even further ahead, but Zunder Palencia started to improve in the second period, cutting the gap to six before Barça again reconnected with the 3-pointers.

Nevertheless, despite some majestic scoring from the home team, the scoreboard refused to play along with their dominance, and somehow or other there were only two points in it as the game reached the half-hour mark.

Even when Barça plugged back in to go +8 early in the final period, their insistent guests managed to work their back to within a single point. A tight finish loomed, but all of a sudden Parker in offence and Nnaji in defence produced some of the best hoops of the game and Barça stormed to +11 with 47 seconds to go.

This timer it was too late for Palencia to do anything, so the win stayed at home and Barça can now start preparing for a EuroLeague game on January 31 at 8.30pm CET, when Virtus Segafredo Bologna will be the guests at the Palau Blaugrana.
