Covirán Granada 61-94 Barça: Resounding win

The blaugranes take control in the second quarter and confirm the victory after the break

A convincing win for the Barça basketball team away to Covirán Granada (61-94). An even start gave way to Roger Grimau's side taking control from the second quarter before finishing the job after the break to claim their 13th win in this season's Liga Endesa.

Even start before Barça take control

Both sides started the game somewhat ineffectively with the score remaining fairly level for the first five minutes. However, Satoransky and Hernangómez began to direct proceedings, assisted by free throw accuracy by the returning Nnaji. Three points the difference in Barça's favour at the end of the quarter (16-19).

Two in-form blaugranes, Brizuela and Parker, then helped construct a healthier lead (18-26, min. 14), as Barça were reaching the basket with ease and picking off rebounds. Jokubaitis and Hernangómez combined to continue the onslaught, with the lead +10 (32-42) at the break.

Secure second-half

Satoransky began the third quarter strongly with two three-pointers to give Barça the biggest lead of the game at that point (32-48, min. 23). The blaugranes clearly wanted to confirm the win as quickly as possible. Kwan Cheatham showed resistance for the home side, but Roger Grimau's side managed to build up a 20 point lead with a quarter to go (47-67).

No scares in the final quarter, Barça showing professionalism, remaining strong in defence and energetic on the court, with Willy Hernangómez extending the scoring. The convincing scoreline saw young Dame Sarr and Kasparas Jakucionis given a chance to show their skills and help confirm this resounding win against Granada in the Liga Endesa (61-94).
