Yet more accolades for the Barça Women, with three players named in the FIFPRO XI. All of Bronze, Walsh and Aitana were honoured at The Best gala in London this Monday.
FC Barcelona had no fewer than eight players short-listed for a place, but Mapi León, Irene Paredes, Claudia Pina, Fridolina Rolfö and Salma Paralluelo all missed out on the final selection.
It's just reward for a team that won all of the Liga, Champions League and Spanish Super Cup last season, with several of the players winning the World Cup with Spain and Walsh part of the English side that reached the final.
Picking up the award, Lucy Bronze highlighted the progression of women's football in recent years: "We are in a better place. There are no limits for women's football, that has been been proved. It is moving forward every day in Spain and in England."
