Second to last training session before the visit of Girona

On Sunday at 9pm CET, Barça face Girona in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in week 16 of La Liga. The Catalan derby comes around with Girona the surprise package of the season so far, Míchel's side leading the league table on points alongside Real Madrid. 

The game between the two neighbours is a chance for Xavi Hernández's team to cut the four point deficit to their local rivals. In preparation, on Friday all the available first team players trained at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper along with Astralaga, Gerard Martín, Alarcón, Cuéllar and Mikayil plus U19 squad members Cubarsí and Héctor Fort.

The derby sees the culmination of three successive home games for the blaugranes after important recent wins over Porto in the Champions League and Atlético Madrid in La Liga.
