The deadline to update FC Barcelona membership details is next Thursday 30 November, and president Joan Laporta is encouraging everyone to make sure they get the job done on time. "Among the members there are elderly people who have yet to update their details" he said. "But there are young people too. I encourage everyone to do it, and also encourage people who have already updated details to help make sure everyone else does too. It's very important for the club."
Laporta stressed that "this procedure is essential for the internal democracy of the club and also for us to offer a better service to our members around the world, which will be more personalised. It will be a major improvement. It's very easy to do, but anyone who is having trouble can find the answers on the club website or by phoning the Barcelona Supporter Services Office (OAB). The members of this club are also its owners and it is very important to know how many there are of us and who we all are, so the census obviously needs to be updated."
The updating procedure is one of the requirements set out in the club statutes, and members who have yet to do it can do so digitally via the club website or on the Members App, or can otherwise come to it in person at the OAB.
