More preparations for Real Sociedad

This Thursday the players were back at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for another workout in preparation for the Saturday 9pm CEST kick-off away to Real Sociedad.

This was the second-to-last workout before the team head to San Sebastian, knowing that they'll need all three points to ensure they stay within the tight leading pack in La Liga.

Oviedo visit Ciutat Esportiva

Today brought a special visit from Real Oviedo, the second division club that has a proud history but has not played in the top flight since 2001. They are in the city after winning 2-1 at Manresa in Wednesday's Copa del Rey fixture.

Santi Cazorla, now among the squad at Oviedo, had a nice chat with Xavi Hernández, who he played alongside en route to winning the European Championship for Spain in both 2008 and 2012.
