Return to the Estadi Johan Cruyff with Alexia's 400 games honoured

Barça Women will face their first official home game of the season against Valencia in the rearranged week 2 fixture against Valencia

On Thursday 5 October the magic of football returns to the Estadi Johan Cruyff with Jonatan Giráldez's team facing Valencia, kick off 8pm CEST, in the rearranged fixture from week 1 of the Liga F. The game was originally postponed due to the players' strike but it remains Barça Women's first home game of the season in official competition with members and fans able to enjoy women's football once more at the Estadi. 

Pre-match atmosphere 

Prior to kick off there will be a DJ and other entertainment, as well as gifts for fans such as captain's wristbands, caps and even a shirt signed by one of the players. Furthermore, there will be an act to honour Alexia Putellas who recently made her 400th appearance for the blaugranes in the 2-0 win away from home at Madrid CFF. 

The striker from nearby Mollet del Vallés became just the second Barça Women player to reach the milestone after Melanie Serrano who made 517 appearances for the Club between 2004 and 2022. The captain and leader on the field, Alexia is a two winner of the Ballon d'Or and FIFA The Best awards and has been named best player in Europe also on two occasions and continues to make history at the Club, much to the delight of the fans who will celebrate with her at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on Thursday.
