We're a month into the 2023/24 season, and curiously enough, FC Barcelona have only played one competitive fixture so far at the Estadi Olimpic Lluís Companys. But all that is about to change with three home games on the trot for the blaugrana.
Barça v Betis, September 16
Next Saturday, Barça will be looking to win a fourth consecutive game in la Liga, after suffering big time to get the job done at ten-man Osasuna and eventually taking it thanks to a Robert Lewandowski penalty in the 86th minute. But Betis have also started strongly, and are currently seventh in the table.
Barça v Royal Antwerp, September 19
Just three days later they'll be in action again at the Estadi Olimpic, this time against Royal Antwerp in the Champions League. The Belgians are an unknown commodity for most Barça fans, but they have been doing brilliantly in their domestic scene and are now hoping to show they can create a similar stir on the continental stage.
Barça v Celta, September 24
And just a few days later the stadium gates will open again for a game with Celta. Things haven't got off to the best of starts for Rafa Benítez and his team, but the Galicians have a tradition of making life hard for FC Barcelona.
