Aitana feels 'proud and prileged' to win top player award

After winning the Spanish Liga F and the Champions League (with Barça) and the World Cup (with Spain), things are working out perfectly for Aitana Bonmatí. What's more, on August 31 she was named by UEFA as its Player of the Year.

In an interview with the governing body of football in Europe, the FC Barcelona midfielder insisted that "this would have been impossible without all of the work done by the team. I have the best staff, the best coaches and the best team-mates."

Six years after making her senior debut for Barça, she beams that "it is a privilege and honour to win this prize. It's like a dream. So much work has gone into this."
