Barça have drawn the first game of the 2023/24 futsal league, although it could so very nearly have been a defeat. Osasuna Magna led 3-1 with just a minute left to play and yet the Catalans are coming home with a dramatically earned point.
All six goals came in the second half. The tight deadlock was finally broken when Dani Saldise scored almost straight from the restart, and it took Catela ten minutes to find an answer at the other end.
Then came the late mayhem with four goals in the last five minutes. Andrés Geraghty and Toni Escribano scored in rapid succession and it looked like curtains for Barça.
But a Catela goal a minute from the end was a blaugrana lifeline. Surely not? Why, yes indeed! With seconds to go Pito, found the net and Barça were saved from starting their campaign with a loss.
