Jordi Alba, Gavi and Ansu Fati claimed the UEFA Nations League title with the Spanish national side thanks to their penalty shoot out win over Croatia in the final. The three players add a third trophy to their haul after claiming the league and Spanish Super Cup titles with Barça in 2022/23.
Defender Alba captained the side to victory in the tournament with Gavi and Ansu also playing their part also.
Young midfielder Gavi has set another record becoming the youngest player to win a trophy with the Spanish national side at the age of 18 years and 317 days. In 2022/23 the man from Los Palacios y Villafranca has ended the season with 60 appearances for Barça and the national side, scoring five goals and creating six assists.
The road to the Nations League title for the Spanish national side began on 2 June 2022 with the opening game of the group stage. Sergio Busquets, Ferran Torres, Pedri and Eric Garcia all played a part in helping the team to first place in their group ahead of Portugal, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
Marcos Alonso also played his part, featuring in four matches before joining FC Barcelona.
