In the season just ended, Xavi Hernández handed competitive debuts to no fewer than seven different players who have graduated from the FC Barcelona youth system.
The first was Héctor Bellerín is a league fixture against Cadiz.
Shortly after, it was in the final game of the Champions League group stage that Iñaki Peña and Marc Casadó both featured against Viktoria Plzen. The goalkeeper played the full ninety, and the midfielder came on after 67 minutes.
Chadi Riad was the next in the narrow win at Osasuna. The Barça Atlètic centre back was on for the last few minutes at El Sadar.
The Copa del Rey trip to Ceuta brought a new chance, this time for striker Ángel Alarcón.
And in a league game with Elche, we got our first glimpse of Aleix Garrido, who has risen all the way up through the ranks after starting out in the U10C team.
And the final debutant this season was the historic case of Lamine Yamal, who was just 15 years, 9 months and 16 days old when he played against Betis, making him the youngest player ever to play an official game for FC Barcelona.
That means there have now been 205 different former La Masia residents to have made their debuts since the youth facility was opened in the 1979/80 season. Six new names (Ramírez, Gabrich, Onésimo, Vucevic, Ekelund and Kornéiev) were added to the list this season after a fresh analysis of the club's statistical records.
