FC Barcelona Museum temporary change of location

The FC Barcelona Museum faces in the next few weeks one of the most significant changes in its history. Due to the building works at Spotify Camp Nou, the Museum will move to where, until a few months ago, the Club's Ice Rink was located. next to the Palau Blaugrana. For that reason 28 May will the final day for fans to enjoy the current Museum, opened in 1984, as it will be moving temporarily.
Over its 39 year history, the Barça Museum has become the most visited in Barcelona and Catalonia and the third most visited in Spain. The attraction has become the most important sporting museum in the world, breaking attendance records as fans take a trip through the club's more than 100 years of history, an era full of successes and memorable figures. The Stadium Tour and Museum will be closing its doors and move to a space that will occupy 2,400m2 and divided into different areas to give a 100% Barça experience. The location will be the home to the Museum until it moves to its new home at the remodelled Spotify Camp Nou in the 2024/25 season.
FC Barcelona already has a date for the opening of the temporary Museum. From 7 June 2023 culers can visit the new location, also called 'Barça Immersive Tour' and those fans who wish to visit the new site can get tickets in advance via the Club's website.
Inspired by ‘More than a Club’
The concept that has inspired this temporary space is 'More than a Club', and it is for that reason that its design attempts to promote FC Barcelona's universality. There is a circular space that will be the main attraction of the temporary Museum with audiovisuals projected on to a 6 metre high walls which are also 78 metres long. Aside form the 'Barça Immersive Tour', an exhibition replete with exciting content, the 100% Barça experience ends with an audiovisual space where virtual reality will help conjure up some of the feelings that fans will experience at the new stadium.
The project is being developed alongside Mediapro Exhibitions, the division of GRUP MEDIAPRO specialising in the creation and development of exhibition projects and graphics for museums who took charge of the Museum's redesign in 2010.
