Barça have lost 5-2 to Inter Movistar in the final game of the regular season and the result means that they will have to settle for second in the regular season table and will now face Valdepeñas in the first round of the playoffs, which start in Tuesday at the Palau Blaugrana.
It was strange game. Barça utterly dominated the first half and had they been a little sharper in front of goal could have amassed a strong lead by the interval. Instead, the sides went in for their break with no goals having been scored.
Nothing suggested that Inter would end up banging in five goals. And even when the home side scored straight after the restart, Barça quickly struck back twice in quick succession. The goals were finally going in and top spot in the league was looking sweet.
But Inter had other plans. In the final nine minutes, not only did they equalise, but they then went ahead after Ferrao was sent off for protesting.
