All about the Clásico on the 2023 US Tour

Barça and Real Madrid will meet on 29 July in Dallas in third game of preseason on American soil

We will have a Clásico in preseason! Barça will play their third game of the US tour against Real Madrid, a friendly which is to be played on 29 July in Dallas, kick off 4pm local time. The other three games will be against Juventus in San Francisco, Arsenal in Los Angeles and AC Milan in Las Vegas.

The venue

The third game of US Tour will take place at the AT&T stadium in Dallas, Texas. The venue was opened in 2009 and has a capacity of 80,000. The stadium is the home of the NFL team Dallas Cowboys and has hosted the Super Bowl (2011), the CONCACAF Gold Cup (2009, 2011 and 2013) and the ground will also be one of the venues for the World Cup in 2026 which will be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.

It will be the fourth time that Barça have played in Dallas. In 2011 the blaugranes faced Mexican team América in a 2-0 win at the Cowboys Stadium and in 2018 they beat AS Roma 4-2 at the AT&T Stadium. Last season the Cotton Bowl was the venue for a 2-2 draw against Juventus.

Previous friendlies against Real Madrid

Over their history, Barça and Real Madrid have met in 33 friendlies with the blaugranes having won 20, drawn nine and lost just four with 82 goals scored and 41 against.

22 of those 33 games came between 1906 and 1943 as well as the Club Champions Tournament (1928), Legends Tournament (1948), the Carranza (1969) and President of the Republic of Venezuela Cup (1982).

The most recent, however, was last summer in Las Vegas when Xavi's side beat Real Madrid thanks to a wonder goal from Raphinha.
