Lead extended in LaLiga after Barça comfortably win away to Noia Freixenet (1-6) and nearest challengers Reus and Liceo draw.
Barça strike first
The Sant Sadurní crowd were in good voice, but the game began somewhat cagy. Barça’s attacking prowess soon came to the fore, however, Helder Nunes scoring powerfully (0-1, min.4), before assisting João Rodrigues for the second (0-2, min.11). Joao hit the frame but no further breakthroughs, halftime 0-2.
Home side comeback quelled
The home side came out with more desire after the break and Jordi Bargalló threaded captain Aleix Esteller in to score after a great turn (1-2, min.27). However, João Rodrigues quickly restored the lead (1-3, min.28). Pau Bargalló wasn’t going to be outshone by his brother either, scoring in his 18th game out of 19 games played, to add to his league leading 32 goals. Helder Nunes and Marc Grau added further goals to complete a comfortable 1-6 win.
Next up, Lodi visit the Palau for a Champions League game (Thursday, 6.30pm CET).
