FC Barcelona concludes a series of celebrations to kick off the Year of the Rabbit

Whilst rabbit symbolizes grace, mercy and good luck in Chinese zodiac, the Club celebrated the year of the Rabbit with its Culers around the world which comprises of a series of fun, yet meaningful activities throughout the first half the new lunar month.
On the first day of the Chinese New Year, a variety of activities were arranged at the Spotify Camp Nou in traditional new year decorations, marking a new start and blessings for the new year. These included traditional dragon and lion dance performance by the local Penya Blaugrana Dracs Units, musical performances as well as workshops for Chinese calligraphy and Asia food stalls to offer our fans an authentic taste and experience of the Chinese festive season. In addition, to surprise our Chinese fans, players from the First Team and Women's Team, accompanied by kids from the Penya Blaugrana Dracs Units, put on their customised home kit jerseys with each of their own Chinese names on the jersey.
The Club produced a special video titled "New Year, New Era" featuring players Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres, Jordi Alba, Iñaki Peña and Alejandro Balde to send our wishes and blessings to the new beginning of the year to Culers around the world. What’s more? President Joan Laporta also expressed the Club's gratitude to Culers for their support over the years in his new year message to the world. It was equally important to highlight FC Barcelona’s values and mottos through exclusive media roundtables with our Head Coach Xavi Hernandez and player Pedri for media across the region.
A wealth of exciting activities were also introduced on various digital channels including an online Chinese-name guessing game of players, ball-passing challenge on TikTok, as well as a couple of Barça inspired stickers and red envelopes on WeChat, and a special rabbit collection on Meitu Xiu
Xiu for our fans in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam to share the fun and blessings with their friends and relatives. To reinforce our commitment to diversity and inclusion, our Women’s Team, including Aitana Bonmati, Mapi León, Alexia Putellas, Keira Walsh and Lucy Bronze, shared their new year blessings in Chinese at a video which went viral amongst our Chinese fans.
It's a wrap! But the spirit of the rabbit and our the Club's blessings will continue to stay with our players and Culers around the world.
