The Spotify Camp Nou today honoured Gavi and Lewandowski.
There was rapturous applause for the two players as they held aloft the individual accolades that they had received prior to the World Cup, but had not had the chance to share them with the fans: Gavi showed off his Golden Boy trophy and Robert Lewandowski did likewise with his Golden Shoe.
Gavi was Barça's third winner of the Golden Boy award for the best young player in Europe, having been preceded by Leo Messi in 2005 and Pedri in 2021. The midfielder was also the winner of last year's Kopa Trophy.
Meanwhile, the Polish international was recognised as the leading goalscorer in Europe for the second consecutive year. And with 13 goals in the 2022-23 season, for a total of 26 points, he is currently third in the chase to win the trophy yet again!
Also before today's game, a minute¡s silence was respectfully observed at Spotify Camp Nou in memory of Brazilian legend Pelé who passed away at the age of 82 years last Thursday.
