The men's team of the FC Barcelona Players Association played a friendly match this Friday with the Arab Orthodox Cultural Club (AOC) in Bethlehem (Palestine). The confrontation ended with a result of 1-4 in favor of the team of former Barça players. The Barça goals have been scored by Vicenç Navarro, Albert Garcia, Alguer Brugarola and Manel Martínez, in a match in which Tente Sánchez was captain and in which former first team player Pepito Ramos also played.
The Association's team, coached by Jordi Gonzalvo, has had the following former Club footballers: Jordi Aguilar, Félix Barrado, Javi Botella, Juan G. Orti, Daniel Cusiné, Ignacio Grifé, José M. Guijo, Alguer Brugarola, Óscar Lausín , Javier López Aguilera, José M. Ballesteros, Vicente Navarro, Sergi Pérez, Javier Pitarch, José M. Pujol, Pepito Ramos, Tente Sánchez, Jordi Torcal, Florenci Toro and Albert Garcia.
The match has been the main reason for the Group's trip to Palestine, invited by the AOC with the aim of strengthening the bonds of friendship and sharing common values. On Thursday, the day before the game, the delegation led by Ramon Alfonseda and vice presidents Tente Sánchez and Félix Barrado, visited the Palestinian Football Federation and its sports facilities. There they met with President Jobreel Rjoob. Later, the team visited the Yasser Arafat Museum in Ramallah, and in the same town organized a sports activity for boys and girls. The expedition will return to Barcelona on Monday, November 7, after completing its stay in Palestine with a visit to Jerusalem and Jericho.
