Elche failed to score against FC Barcelona on Saturday. In fact, they only had one shot on target. That's now four games without conceding since Real Sociedad scored at Anoeta on August 21: Valladolid, Sevilla, Cádiz and Elche.
So, yet another clean sheet for Marc ter Stegen, who has kept an incredible five in six games. In recent years, only Barça's defensive start in 2014/15 was better.
The German keeper has thrice strung together four games without picking the ball out of the back of the net (in 2016, 2018 and 2020). If Mallorca also fail to get the ball past him, that will match his record in 2019/20 of five consecutive clean sheets.
In 2019/20, he went exactly 500 minutes without leaking a goal. His current run has gone on for 444, so he'll surpass his own record if he can withstand 56 minutes against the Balearic Islanders. Unsurprisingly, he's currently top of the Zamora chart. Long may the run continue!
