Romà Forns

Romà Forns

Extroverted, multi-talented footballer from the early years, Romà Forns (Barcelona, 1885 – Barcelona, 1942) was also a referee, director, coach and grand pianist

A famed right winger, Forns was remarkably quick and especially admired for his rapid dribbling, accurate crosses and goalscoring ability.

He was also exceptionally joyous and extroverted, and outside of football was also an accomplished pianist, and playing partner Carles Comamala would also be the man who'd typically put the voice to his arrangements performed at team celebrations. On 29 June 1913, Forns retired from the game, much to the dismay of his adoring fans who famously chanted "Don't go!"

He later sat on the board (1924-1926) and served as coach (1927-29). He was club member number 3 when he died in 1942.
