Gavi has now played 50 games in a Barça jersey. Born in August 2003, he has become the first player of his generation to play that many games aged just 18 years and 23 days old.
On facing Valladolid, the Andalusian has also become the Club's second youngest player to reach 50 games, surpassing Pedri, who was 18 years and 5 months old. Only Bojan Krkic was younger, aged just 18 years and 3 days old.
Gavi is the first player born in 2003 to play 50 competitive games for Barça, making him a pioneer for his age group on achieving this historical record with the Club.
The midfielder managed to score two goals and create five assists in his 50 games. Since his debut against Getafe, Gavi has started 39 games, coming off the bench in the other 11. Ronald Koeman was his coach for 11 partidos, Sergi Barjuan for three while caretaker coach, with Xavi Hernández in charge for the remainder.
