Robert Lewandowski will not forget Las Vegas in a hurry.
The US city was the venue for his debut as an FC Barcelona player just five days after putting pen to paper and signing for Xavi Hernández's team.
Furthermore, the Polish striker's first game came against none other than Real Madrid in the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. Lewandowksi came out wearing the number 12 shirt as part of a three man forward line alongside Raphinha and Ansu Fati. It did not take long for the striker to get involved and with just 10 minutes gone he brought a good save from Real Madrid keeper Thibault Courtois at the near post.
Lewandowski showed energy in his pressing and the Poland international tested centre backs Militão and Alaba constantly during the 45 minutes he was on the field. All in all, a promising debut that makes it clear that there is plenty more to come.
