The 2022/23 preseason is starting to take shape. The senior squad are due back for work on July 4 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, starting with their routine medicals and the first workout later in the day.
Right now, some of the players are away on international duty, while the remainder have already started their summer breaks, but with no summer tournaments due to the World Cup being played in winter, it means the while squad will be able to start work at the same time, rather than staggering things as is so often the case.
Two friendlies in the US
The full preseason game schedule has yet to be defined, but we already know that the players will be going stateside for games against Inter Miami CF on July 19 and the New York Red Bulls on July 30. It’s Barça’s first North American trip since 2019, and the sixth time that the team has toured the US in recent years, including the 2018 trip when they were joined for the first time by the women’s team.
