The draw against Getafe guarantees the blaugranes second spot in La Liga

Objective achieved. Barça ensured Champions League football next season with a recent win against Betis and on Sunday in their penultimate fixture of the league season they made sure of the presence in the Spanish Super Cup in 2022/23.
The goalless draw against Getafe means that Barça now cannot be caught in runners up spot after Atlético Madrid and Sevilla drew 1-1 in the Wanda Metropolitano. Second place means Barça will take part in the four team Super Cup along with league champions Real Madrid, Copa del Rey champions Betis and cup runners up Valencia.
Xavi Hernández has now achieved his two main objectives for the season with a game still remaining. Barça take on Villarreal at Camp Nou on Sunday 22 May ay 6.30pm CEST in their final fixture of the La Liga season.
