Barça Academy World Cup presented by Allianz returns to the Ciutat Esportiva after three years

The 2022 Barça Academy World Cup presented by Allianz marks the ninth edition of this international tournament, with the most important date on the calendar for every Barça Academy worldwide returning after a two year hiatus enforced by the pandemic. The last time FC Barcelona’s football schools from around the world were able to meet up was in April 2019.
The meet will see around 1,150 boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years old make the journey to visit FC Barcelona’s facilities. This ninth edition, taking place from April 11 to 14, will be played exclusively on the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper football pitches.
There will be 104 teams from 15 countries in total, playing 352 games across the four days of the competition. This 2022 edition will see teams representing 26 Barça Academy and Barça Academy Camps from around the world.
This ninth edition will see debuts for 8 Barça Academies, namely Barça Academy PRO Miami, Barça Academy Orlando, Barça Academy CDMX, Barça Academy Budapest, Barça Academy Jordan, Barça Academy Yokohama, Barça Academy Riyadh, and Barça Academy Camps in France.
The Barça Academy World Cup presented by Allianz begins at 10:30 CEST on Monday, April 11, with the opening ceremony in Estadi Johan Cruyff. The first matches kick-off afterwards at 12:00 CEST, featuring four age groups: under-8s, under-10s, under-12s, and under-14s. The tournament finals will run from 10:30 CEST on Thursday, April 14 on pitch 7 of the Ciutat Esportiva, followed by the closing ceremony and trophy presentations in the Estadi Johan Cruyff (13:30 CEST).
The competition can be followed via the official tournament app as usual, available for download for Android and IOS, with over 10 hours of live match feeds via Barça TV and Barça TV+, plus the Barça Academy social networks, who will also show them worldwide.
