With six matchdays left to complete the Primera Iberdrola league, Barça Women have won their third league title in a row, and seventh in total, making them clear leaders with the most league titles in Spain.
They have also been untouchable throughout, with the numbers reflecting a landmark team that will prove very difficult to better in the future.
Let's look at some of the stats in more detail:
24
The number of games and wins that Barça needed to take the Primera Iberdrola title. This Liga campaign has seen Jonatan Giráldez´ squad rack up three points after three points. This means they are still on course to beat their record last season (33 wins and one loss) and become the first team to win all their games during a women's first division league campaign.
136
With 136 goals scored, averaging 5.66 goals a game, Barça's goalscoring exploits this Liga season are simply stunning. Playing the Barça attacking style, they have dominated the domestic competition with goal-fest after goal-fest, with the widest margin coming on matchday 11 against Sevilla at the Jesús Navas stadium, where the final score was 1-10.
6
One of the core principles of the style of play is that good defence starts in attack. Well, Barça Women have followed the principle to the letter this season, averaging 0.25 goals conceded per game and only six goals in the 24 Liga games played so far.
19
The attacking spearhead for Jonatán Giráldez's Barça this season has been Asisat Oshoala. Playing as centre forward, the Nigerian has proved a real nightmare for rival defences. Her 19 goals make her the top scorer for the squad and in the league. A good claim for her best game of the season so far saw her score a hat-trick in the resounding win over Betis on January 29th.
20
However, one of the key takeaways from this squad's season has been the champions finding the net with ease from just about everywhere. The first six months of the season has seen up to 20 different goalscorers, with Ona Baradad becoming the latest to join the list last weekend against Alavés.
14
Two players stand out when it comes to helping Asisat Oshoala quench her thirst for goals - Alexia Putellas and Lieke Martens. With 14 assists, the Catalan skipper has created the most goals in the Liga, closely followed by the Dutch forward with 13, making them one and two for number of assists in the league.
1,904
Marta Torrejón is a symbol of consistency and commitment for this team. With 1,904 minutes played, starting 23 out of 23 games, the Catalan defender has been used most, followed by Patri Guijarro, with 1,663 minutes, and Alexia Putellas, with 1,513 minutes.
28
Injuries have proved one of the only setbacks that Jonatan Giráldez has had to deal with. The Galician coach has had to juggle his squad, while being without some of his key players for significant periods, such as Aitana Bonmatí and Caroline Graham Hansen. His approach was to spread the minutes around the squad, including youth team players, such as Martina Fernández, who debuted for the first-team in February aged only 17 years old. As such, 28 players have featured for Barça Women so far during this Liga campaign.
