It is now official: Bayern Munich v FC Barcelona will be played behind closed doors. The game corresponding to Match Day Six in the Champions League will be played without fans in the stadium due to the serious increase in coronavirus cases in the German region of Bavaria in the last few weeks.
Xavi Hernández's team will be playing for a place in the last 16 of the competition. If the blaugranes can win in Munich then they will be though to the knock out stages of the competition no matter what happens in the group's other fixture between Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv in Lisbon.
The last time Barça travelled to the Allianz Arena in Munich in 2015, the blaugranes lost 3-2 in the semi-final of the competition but still went through to the final in Berlin.
