Dani Alves thrilled to be back
FC Barcelona have announced an agreement in principle to sign Dani Alves for the remainder of the season. The Brazilian is returning to where he spent 8 wonderful years, winning 23 titles.

Once the signing was confirmed - making him Xavi's first - Alves wrote a few words to share his joy via his Instagram account. The full back said he is "as excited as the first time" and really looking forward to "help rebuild the best club in the world".
His words in English:
"I've been striving hard for nearly 5 years for this moment. I didn't know it would take so long, I didn't know it would be so tough, but in my heart of hearts I knew this day would come. I'm going home, but I never really left, and as I said at the time: "I am one of you!" I don't know how long this dream will last, but I hope it goes on forever!
