The U19s missed out a second win in the UEFA Youth League, for despite battling long and hard against Dynamo Kyiv, they could find no way through to the Ukrainian net, particularly because of an outstanding display from visiting keeper Neshcheret.
Nevertheless, it means they are the only team so far to have taken points off the group leaders, and have four of their after the first three games.
Unrewarded dominance
Òscar López’s side had the vast majority of the possession, and managed to turn it into chances, but Dynamo proved resilient at the back and effective up front, hitting the bar twice through Popov and Tsarenko.
Victor Barberà, Ilias and Juanda all had chances for Barça in the first half, and Zaca and Akhomach came closest after the break, but neither side was able to break the deadlock.
