PREVIEW | Barça Women v Olympique Lyonnais
Two of the best women's teams in the world meet at 5.35pm local time on Wednesday in Portland, USA. Barça face Olympique Lyonnais in the semi-finals of the International Champions Cup. The current UEFA Champions League holders coming up against the winners from 2016 to 2020 means that despite it being preseason and with several high profile names missing, it is still a mouth watering fixture.
It will the fourth game of preseason for Jonatan Giráldez's team after comfortable wins against Elche, Juventus in the Joan Gamper Trophy game and most recently against Montpellier. The French side have been active in the transfer market bringing in high profile players such as Endler, Van de Donk and Bruun.
The game will be a rematch of the 2019 Champions League final in Budapest when Olympique came out on top, winning 4-1 to seal a fourth trophy in a row.
In the final the winners will meet the victor from the competition's other semi-final in which US teams Houston Dash and Portland Thorns face each other.
