The FC Barcelona women have made it three wins out of three in the preseason, and without conceding a goal, with a 3-0 win on Friday over Montpellier HSC.
In something of a summer classic between two sides that have now met four years in a row, Barça maintained their generally positive form in the fixture, having won 1-0, 3-0 and 3-0, and only lost (2-1) in 2018.
It only took three minutes for Aitana to score early, just as she had done in the Gamper against Juventus.
On the half-hour mark, assist queen Graham Hansen did it again down the right, with Claudia Pina finishing off the move.
Barça continued to dominate but didn’t truly seal victory until there were just ten minutes to go and Maria Pérez produced a fabulous strike from the edge of the area to make it 3-0.
Jonatan Giráldez now takes his team to the United States on Sunday, where they’ll be taking on Olympique Lyonnais on Thursday 19 August.
