Memphis, Agüero and Royal with Joan Gamper Trophy
Nearly time for the Joan Gamper 2021. On Saturday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, three of the new players, Memphis, Agüero and Royal, posed for the traditional photo with the trophy.
The other new arrival, Eric Garcia, was obviously unavailable as he is away in Tokyo right now, where in a matter of minutes he and the rest of the Spain team are playing Brazil in the gold medal match.
Gamper numbers
This morning also featured the announcement of the shirt numbers that the players will be wearing for the official presentation prior to kick-off. Ronald Koeman will not be announcing the squad for the game with Juventus until Sunday morning.

Saturday workout
The coach and his team were out on the Tito Vilanova field this morning to prepare for what will be the last friendly before the season proper commences. It’s a historic occasion, because for the first time both the men’s and women’s teams will be playing, both against the Italian side, and you can see the two games live and back-to-back on Barça TV+.
