Ronaldinho, Deco and Amor speak ahead of Legends Clásico

Barça Legends Ronaldinho, Guillermo Amor and Deco have spoken to the press ahead of tomorrow’s game with their fellow veterans from Real Madrid in Tel Aviv (Israel) and which you can watch live on Barça TV+ and Barça TV (7.00pm CEST). The trio were joined by Iker Casillas, Luis Figo and Roberto Carlos of the opposition, and the players spoke about how much fun it has been to all meet and renew old rivalries.

Ronaldinho said “I’m very happy to meet old team-mates and get to enjoy another Clásico like this … I have very fond memories of these games and they are the kind of thing that stick in the minds of supporters of both teams.”

He also spoke about his mixed feelings after the Copa America, for delighted as he was for his old colleague Leo Messi, “I was sad that Brazil lost the final.”

Guillermo Amor spoke of the affection shown by local Barça fans to the stars since their arrival in Israel, and also about “Barça The Exhibition”, which was officially launched in the city of Holon on July 18 at an event attended by president Joan Laporta. “It’s not just nice for FC Barcelona supporters” he said, “but for all football fans.”

Deco also thanked everyone behind the organisation of such a game, especially considering all the difficulties supposed by the pandemic. “It is a pleasure to represent Barça in games like these” he said. “I hope we get to play a lot more.”
