The player Monchu Rodríguez will be a Granada CF player from the 2021/22 season. FC Barcelona will receive 50% of any future sale by the Andalusian club and also reserve the right of first refusal and a buy back option for the Mallorcan midfielder.
8 years at La Masia
21 year old Monchu came to La Masia from home town club RCD Mallorca. At 17 years of age he made his debut for Barça B and he went on to make 63 appearances, scoring 11 goals for the B team. In August 2020 he made his debut for the first team in a Champions League last 16 second leg tie against Napoli which ended in a 3-1 win for the blaugranes.
Monchu spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Segunda side Girona, his 39 appearances and three goals helping Francisco Rodríguez's team to the promotion play offs where they were defeated in the final by Rayo Vallecano.
