Barça B sign Kays Ruiz

FC Barcelona have signed Kays Ruiz for the Barça B squad. The 18 year old French-Moroccan midfielder arrives on a free transfer and signs for three seasons with an option for another two and his buy out clause is set at 50 million euros, rising to 100 million should he become a member of the first team.
At the signature, the player was accompanied by president Joan Laporta, sporting vice president Rafael Yuste, the director responsible for youth football, Joan Soler, the president of Barça B, Jordi Casals and the director of youth football, José Ramón Alexanco.
Return to the club
Kays Ruiz has already had a spell at Barça. The Lyon born midfielder spent six seasons at La Masia, arriving in 2009 before departing in 2015 for PSG.
During the 2020/21 season he made his first team debut for the Paris based club and made a total of seven appearances in Ligue 1. He now returns to Baça to continue his development as a player.
In footballing terms, Ruiz is a right footed attacking midfielder with an ability to take defenders on and to be precise in the pass.
